Solicitors Advise on Multiple Sclerosis Move

Solicitors, Charles Lucas & Marshall provided legal advice to the Swindon Therapy Centre for Multiple Sclerosis as part of its move into new premises at Westmead Drive.
The Centre has taken over the first floor at Evolution House, the former Farepak offices, where it will be able to offer a greater range of physiotherapy services, including a hyperbaric chamber – a sealed, high pressure oxygen chamber which can alleviate the symptoms of multiple sclerosis and help contain the condition.
The new offices will also provide better access for visitors than its former premises at BSS House on the Cheney Manor Industrial Estate.
Charles Lucas & Marshall partner, Hugh Ellins and solicitor, Julie Lloyd advised the Centre on both the funding under its charitable status and its lease on the new building.
"The Therapy Centre has wanted to move to new premises for over two years," says Hugh Ellins of Charles Lucas & Marshall. "We were delighted we could help make it possible."
The Centre still needs to generate a further £200,000 for equipment but believe the new premises will help fuel its fund-raising effort by allowing groups with other neurological conditions to use the facilities.
"There are many people and organisations we need to thank who have helped us with this project," said David Wray, Chairman of the MS Therapy Centre. "Charles Lucas & Marshall were incredibly generous with their time and expertise."
"We were able to secure charitable grants from both the Bradbury Foundation and the DR TC Wilson trusts. But there are also many local individual fund-raisers and local groups who have been fantastic in their support."
