Asthma is a common problem but some suffer from this illness due to exposure at work to dust and fumes. Wheezing and breathlessness are usual symptoms and they are worse at work and better when away from work particularly for long periods such as holidays. An experienced Consultant will be able to advise whether the asthma has been caused by work or otherwise. If it is caused by work, it may be possible to bring a claim for damages for injury and loss of earnings and other losses caused by the illness.
