Charles Lucas & Marshall were instructed by Bach Homes (Sunley) Limited - a joint venture company between Bach Homes Holdings Limited and Sunley Holdings plc - in the purchase of West Barns, Marshfield, Gloucestershire.
The site is to be developed for work units and is the first of this type of development in Gloucestershire.
Acquisition, at a consideration of £1.9 million was effected through the purchase of shares in the owning company, St James Parade (34) Limited.
Hugh Ellins, partner in Charles Lucas & Marshall, specialising in the acquisition and disposal of development sites, dealt with property aspects and Lance Parker, partner specialising in corporate matters dealt with the share acquisition.
They were supported by two solicitors in the firm, Julie Lloyd and Tom Walker.
The transaction was complicated by the need to meet the tax requirements of the existing shareholders and by VAT considerations.
