| Print Franchise Was Too Good to Miss | |
![]() Julie Lloyd and Mark Munday When Mark Munday decided to take on the Prontaprint franchise for Swindon he knew precisely what he was letting himself in for.
For the past three years he had worked as a business support manager for the company, providing advice to print shops in his region and supporting new franchisees.
When the opportunity arose to buy the Swindon franchise he felt it was an opportunity too good to miss.
Mark has now taken over the franchise and moved the business from its premises in Faringdon Road to Westmead Industrial Estate. The focus is to expand the range of services to meet the needs of business customers.
“My experience of working for Prontaprint is invaluable,” he says. “I have walked into this with my eyes open. I also know Swindon very well as I was a manager at Asda for a number of years.
“However, even though I have been giving out advice to people in exactly my position for the last three years, nothing quite prepares you for running your own business.”
Solicitors Charles Lucas & Marshall advised Mark on buying the franchise and arranged the lease on his new premises in Westmead.
Julie Lloyd, who handled the legal work, believes Mark stands a great chance of making a success of the business.
“He has a wonderful attitude towards customer service,” she says. “Relocating to new premises in Westmead means he can invest in the business more easily and ensure he has the resources to meet the demands of the business market.”
