| Lawyer Takes Classic Motorbike on Midnight Run | |
![]() Michael Berrett on his Norton Commando Lawyer, Michael Berrett will be dusting down his classic motorbike for one of its most adventurous outings this weekend (30 March) when he takes part in an overnight motorcycle run from Berkshire to Devon.
Michael, a lawyer with Charles Lucas & Marshall, will start the 200 mile journey at midnight from The Rising Sun at Stockcross, Newbury – hopefully completing the route in time for breakfast in Lynmouth, Devon.
Organised by the Newbury & District branch of the AJS & Matchless Owners club, Michael’s Norton Commando will be joining a line of around 30 classic bikes taking part in the annual run, which this year is raising funds for the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Centre in Newbury.
A self-confessed motorbike fanatic, apart from the Norton Commando which he has ridden for over 30 years, Michael also owns a Triumph Sprint which he regularly uses for commuting to the office and meetings.
“I am looking forward to it although I just hope the weather will be kind,” says Michael. “I was persuaded to take part after a couple of pints at The Rising Sun, perhaps never the best of time to make a decision.
“We will be taking the scenic route – although at that time of the night I am not sure it really matters.”
