Peter Berry - Collaborative Family Lawyer
Peter Berry
Peter has specialised in family law for over 20 years. Continuing his specialisation, Peter completed an intensive course of training to become qualified as a Collaborative Family Lawyer.
Collaborative Family Law is a completely new approach to resolving family disputes and difficulties following the breakdown of a relationship. The concept of Collaborative Practice was first conceived in the USA, but since has spread across the world to many countries. CLM were among the first solicitor’s practices in England to offer this unique service to clients and Peter has recently been elected chairman of the Wiltshire and West Berkshire Collaborative Family Law Group.
There is now a better way to resolve family disputes than the traditional route of “going to Court” with all the costs and often long term emotional effects entailed. If you wish to resolve issues concerning separation, divorce, co-parenting of children and financial arrangements in a more dignified and respectful way, then Peter invites you to consider the fact sheet about Collaborative Family Law in this section of our website. Please contact Peter if you would like to discuss any issue in more detail.
Peter has a solid reputation throughout the South West for dealing with complex cases. He is well known for his attention to detail, knowledge and experience in conducting positive negotiations. Peter is often referred to where cases involve the division of complex business assets and high value pension schemes.
Peter has been a member of the Law Society's Family Law Panel and "Resolution" formerly known as the Solicitors Family Law Association for many years. He has also been appointed Regional Press Officer for Resolution in Wiltshire and regularly publishes articles for the press on family law issues.
Peter is based in the Swindon office. You can contact him on 01793 511055 or peter.berry@clmlaw.co.uk
