Service
Our Team can provide you with the benefits of our expertise and experience to help you to resolve your employment problems. We aim to provide a prompt, efficient and cost effective service and to be accessible to you at all times.
Our approach is to be proactive and to adopt a practical approach and seek practical solutions to your legal problems where possible in order to save you time and money.
We prefer to work closely with clients to gain a better understanding of their needs and requirements.
Employment Contracts
Many employers now have more flexible work arrangements with permanent part time, casual, off-site and remote access arrangements, homeworkers, consultants, sub contactors, executive contracts and employees on short term and fixed term contracts. All of these arrangements have different employment law implications which must be adhered to in order to avoid disputes. Issues such as pensions, confidentially, termination notice, job descriptions, restrictive covenants, holidays, sickness, maternity and parental leave are now more issues to address in employment contracts.
Employment Disputes
The CLM team is very experienced in advising and appearing on behalf of employers in HR meetings, disciplinary and grievance matters on redundancy consultations, in the County Court and at Employment Tribunal Hearings. As a dedicated team, we can provide a consistent level of service to our clients and are able to represent employers in dealing with a wide range of employment disputes and industrial issues.
Compensation Claims
Our team is able to assist employers to manage their employee's compensation obligations and claims. Our team is able to provide advice and representation to employers in compensation claims before the relevant Courts and Tribunals and we can assist employers to legally ensure that their staff's rehabilitation and return to work obligations are appropriate and compliant.
Health & Safety
Providing a safe workplace is fundamental to good employment practice. At Charles Lucas & Marshall, we are able to advise employers on how to meet their Health and Safety obligations. We can also advise and represent employers in defending claims for alleged breach of Health and Safety regulations and breaches of contract.
